Issuance of Emergency Certificates

Emergency Certificate is issued to facilitate one-way travel to Kenya to a Kenyan Citizen whose travel document has either expired, stolen or born in Uganda.

Requirements:

  1. Original and copy of Passport/Kenya ID
  2. One Passport size Photo
  3. Original and copy of birth Certificate
  4. Letter addressed to the High Commissioner explaining why an Emergency Certificate is required
  5. Copy of Police Abstract for Lost Passport
  6. A fee of 50 000 UGX.

Repatriation of Deceased Kenyans

Requirements:

  1. A formal letter from next of kin
  2. A copy of the Deceased passport/ID
  3. A copy of the next of kin passport/ID
  4. A copy of Medical Certificate of Cause of Death
  5. A copy of post mortem report
  6. A copy of Certificate of Embalmment

Cremation of a Deceased Kenyan

Requirements

  1. A formal letter from next of kin
  2. Copy of the Deceased passport/ID
  3. Copy of the next of kin passport/ID
  4. A copy of Medical Certificate Cause of Death
  5. A copy of post mortem report
  6. Cremation permit from KCCA

Verification/Authentication of Driving Licenses

Requirements:

  1. Valid original and copy of Driving License
  2. A copy of national passport/ID
  3. One passport size photo
  4. A formal request letter addressed to the High Commissioner
