The Kenya High Commission’s mandate is to facilitate the implementation of Kenya’s strategic national interests

Our core functions

  • Diplomatic representation
  • Promotion and articulation of Kenya’s national interests
  • Promotion of economic, trade and investment relations between the two countries
  • Consular assistance to Kenyans in Uganda
  • Facilitation of State and Official visits
  • Promotion and facilitation East African Community matters.
  • Facilitation of travel to Kenya
  • Promotion of cultural, educational and social relations

Kenya High Commission, Kampala

The Kenya High Commission in Kampala was established in 1981 as a military liaison office to strengthen the historic relations between Kenya and Uganda with the first High Commissioner, reporting on 2nd March, 1981.

Since then, the two countries have grown to be each other’s key trading partner and play a key role in regional integration matters
